"Lack of communication and patient care"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

My husband has been admitted four time in three months. Treatment, initially, was extremely poor - sheets unchanged, medicines not administered, call buttons not within reach, patient concerns not addressed, staff rude or dismissive, information not given to family. Outpatient clinics involve routine (unannounced) delays of more than two hours. Treatment twice delayed because medicines unavailable in the hospital pharmacy. There have been delays in diagnosis which are ongoing. The overall impression is that while individual nurses and doctors are caring, the system is wholly financially biased and is more concerned with emptying beds than treating patients.
