"Colonoscopy 10 out of 10!"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

Had the procedure last week after positive test kit samples were taken. Went for appointment to discuss a week previously and was asked if I wanted to go through with the procedure.

Although was very anxious (especially after reading various horror stories by people who had this done in various hospitals) I decided to be on the safe side to go ahead - it could safe my life!

I can honestly say that all my worries were unfounded. The procedure itself was painless (I had sedation, but did not feel drowsy or sleepy at all and was aware of everything that went on). The nurses were absolutely brilliant and the qualified doctor who performed the procedure very caring and efficient.

10 out of 10 for everybody involved! If you are asked to have this done - don't hesitate. For me it was a walk in the park. Thanks to all involved.

Dear Turniptop,

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is so nice to receive some positive feedback for the staff on the unit. I know they are very caring and professional at all times but to here this from a patient gladdens the heart. I am really pleased your procedure went well with a good outcome.

Again thank you.

Thank you for your comments, it is a boost to the team to hear good feedback and helps other patients to read that although an invasive procedure it can be tolerated quite easily which may make them feel less nervous before their procedure.

Many Thanks
