"Delivery Suite"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Maternity care

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was admitted to Delivery Suite in May and subsequently had her baby on the following day. Upon admission her midwife Rachel Rowley introduced herself going through the process of induction. For the two days Rachel reassured and supported my daughter with concerns/requests even liaising with the doctor which made this stressful and worrying time as relaxed as possible. At the final stages Rachel was due to finish her shift but worked over an hour late to ensure continuity of care which was above and beyond our expectations with family time so precious. Both my daughter and myself are NHS employees so feel that at a time when complaints about hospital care is at an all time high compliments should be recognised.

Please forward this to the Head of Midwifery to compliment the Delivery Suite staff who were excellent particularly Rachel Rowley who even came up to the ward to see my daughter. Many thanks.

Dear "JulieAnn2"

Congratulations on the birth of your grandchild. I am delighted that yourself and your daughter were so pleased with the care and support provided at this very worrying time.

Thank you for taking the trouble to share your feedback which I have shared with Anne Mellor, Head of Midwifery, Suzanne Banks, Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals and Rachel herself.

Kind Regards

Angela Grocott

Head of Patient Experience
