"referral for echocardiogram from GP"

About: Bassetlaw Hospital

My GP referred me to bassetlaw for an echo, as it has just been found there is hereditary heart disease in my family ,My sister has been diagnosed with Hypertrophic Myocardiology.I have been waiting since the end of March for an appointment and have heard nothing from the hospital no letter no phone call nothing . My GP surgery has tried on several occasions to contact the appropiate departments with little success it is always the answer machine or its been passed to someone else. So we get no further with the situation. This may not be important to the secretaries.... who obviously are not doing there jobs efficiently... But it is very important to me. Not good enough . My life could be at risk and i need to know .

We are very sorry to hear of your concern, and want to know all the details so we can investigate how this has arisen. We did not expect there to be any overdue appointments from March at this time and want to resolve the situation as soon as possible. Please will you contact our PALs Service on 0800 0288059 to discuss further.
