"In good hands"

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

Visited the Gastroscopy Unit at BVH today feeling very anxious. Was warmly greeted by the receptionists and my name called to go through exactly at my appointment time. The unit is spotless and every member of staff I encountered was really pleasant & reassuring. The whole process was well organised, they constantly check that you are the right patient, give you all the information about why you are there, what's going to happen etc and offer you every opportunity to ask questions. The findings are explained clearly with lots of helpful post procedure advice including GP letter, useful appropriate leaflets. They are a credit to the nursing Profession. Thanks to all.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on you care and treatment during your recent visit to Blackpool Victoria Hospital. I am very pleased to hear about your positive experience and that all the staff were so pleasant and reassuring at such an anxious time for you.

Your comments will be reassuring to other patients attending the Gastro Unit for similar treatment. I will be sure to pass your kind comments onto the teams who looked after you.

With best wishes for the future,

Paul Jebb
