Our elderly friend was a patient in Torbay Hospital for a short while in February 2014. We first visited her on February 21st. and many times after that date until she was referred to Dawlish hospital. I believe she was admitted to Torbay on Feb. 19th. When we first saw her she was very fragile but every time we visited she was so much better.................the care was fantastic and the food very good indeed. We visited the café/restaurant during our visits, for either a coffee, a snack or a meal and the food there was also very good and the staff so cheerful. Wherever we were in the hospital the staff were so helpful. The shop, which we visited for some bits and bobs for our friend, was very well stocked; even with fresh flowers. Our friend makes us laugh because when food is mentioned she always says "food so good in Torbay and Dawlish Hospitals"
"Visiting Torbay Hospital was such a pleasure."
