" From Porters, HCA to Doctors, they were all fantastic"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My 87 year old mum was contacted by her GP and told to go to East Surrey A&E as she may have a clot on her lung. On arrival she was promptly seen by a nurse, assessed, taken through and put on a trolley. She had Bloods, ECG and made comfortable. She was offered tea and biscuits as she was diabetic and blood sugar low

We were kept updated of her treatment and she went for a chest xray. From Porters, HCA to doctors they were all fantastic. It turned out she had probable heart failure and didn't want to stay in. She was advised to see GP for referral and was eventually allowed to go home. I would like to thank all in A&E for their kindness towards my mum and the family
