"I certainly was a very lucky patient ..."

About: Bedford Hospital South Wing

(as the patient),

What I liked

I certainly was a very lucky patient in 2007 on fully knee transplant and was very happy. Very observant to everything cos I am profoundly deaf and use my eyes all the times. Night nurses especially the male nurse were fantastic. All the time nurses were always cleaning their hands one at a time like using special hand cream, then use papers to dry everytime she/he attended patient or bed or anything. Floors swept 3 times a day. Very happy and am going back in Appril for another knee operation. Howard was my ward.

What could be improved

Try to make some patients family have less visitors - there were 2 children (not controllable as one bigger boy touched the untouchabld stuff) and more visitors moreover the family. Patient was very clever to look poorly in front of them but away from them, she was fantastic, tried to do herself except on zimmer which she moaned, etc.!!! The was in August 2007

Anything else?

I am going to teach one or two sign language to those fantastic nurses like good morning, good night, etc.!!!! and perhaps thank you. I will see u in April once the date is confirmed.!!
