I have been coming to the Chaucer Hospital for the last 18 months. In the last month I decided ton cancel a colonscopy appointment and remake another appointment to see the consultant. The Colonscopy was not fully cancelled. I was given a confirmation letter ton see a consultant on the 19th May atn18.15 when I arrived and gave Reception my details I was told that my Consultant had cancelled the appointment. No one even took the trouble to contact me on the phone or email me to tell me this was cancelled. I have also taken my blood results to the hospital for the consultant with a letter. I have never received a reply to this. I also emailed the private secretary of the Consultant to make an appointment at the given email address and have never heard from her. Is this the way BMI Chaucer treat NHS patients? Are they only after patients who are prepared to pay the hospital for private treatment. I am totally disgusted at the incompetence and lack of customer care and patient care this hospital has.
