"Difficulty accessing blood tests"

My otherwise good GP surgery (River Place) N1 does not offer blood tests to most of its patients. Patients are required to go to a hospital clinic where thy have a contract. The hospital is some distance away and the whole process of getting a blood test - for example the fasting test for cholesterol - takes several hours. But it would take little time to pop into the surgery for such a test and one would not have to battle public transport, sometimes after an overnight fast, to do this. The surgery has decided unilaterally and without consulting patients to organise blood tests in this inconvenient manner.
