"Thanks to the ambulance crew who saved my life"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I was flying home from Malaga to Bristol when I felt very ill. I passed out in the toilet and was taken back to my seat. The captain called for the paramedics to meet us on landing. I thought I had high blood pressure but it turns out it was my heart.

Your paramedics saved my life by the continuous treatment given to me. I was on the plane for about 1 hour whilst they stabilised me. I know I would not be here today without their help and cannot thank them enough. I am just so sorry I cannot remember there names, I have rang various numbers to try and get them but have been told just to put it in writing on this site.

If you can pass on my gratitude I would be eternal grateful. Many thanks to 3 wonderful people.

Hi gemjools789

Thank you for taking the time to share your story - I hope you are feeling better!

It is always so rewarding to hear how our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to patients when they need it most.

We can pass on your thanks onto the crew involved, however we need some specific information to help identify those staff members involved in your care. Please may I ask you to contact me on either 01392 261 552 or sara.coburn@swast.nhs.uk at your convenience and we can discuss this further.

Thank you, again, for taking the time to provide us with feedback.

Sara
