"Caring staff made my longer than expected stay..."

About: Royal Orthopaedic Hospital

I recently had complex revision surgery on my hip, I was originally booked in for around five days but because the operation was complex I was on bed rest for three weeks. I was shocked at the thought of being in hospital for this length of time but the staff on ward 12 were so caring they made my stay completely bearable. I would like to thank all nursing staff, day and night for their friendliness, respect and kindness to me. Also the staff cleaning the ward were very thorough and friendly taking time to chat to me as they worked. I would also like to thank the consultant and his team for their wonderful care, coming to check on me so often and keeping me informed on my progress. My experience as a patient has been very positive and I would certainly choose the Royal Orthopaedic again but hope I will not have to !

Dear Karen hello and good afternoon thank you very much for posting and sharing your feedback and experiences at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I have passed your kind words on to the teams involved in your care and treatment and I am pleased that even though your stay was longer than anticipated it was a positive one.
