I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of my mum Kathleen and myself her daughter to thank all the staff on ward 8a in particular the healthcare assistants I only remember one of their names but our thanks extends to every single one of them who treated my mum with such kindness dignity and respect in every aspect of their job and to me always went that extra mile. My mum was on the ward for around 5 weeks she had her leg amputated and at such a difficult time for us as a family every single one of them kept her spirits up , and despite being a busy ward they made time for every single patient. The nurses also deserve a huge thank you especially one in particular again we don't know all the names but all of them were lovely, and really looked after my mum, finally my own personal thank you goes to a particular member of staff who in fact was not directly involved with my mum's care but whenever I rang the ward which was often if he was unable to answer any concerns I had he would go to the trouble of finding someone who could now that meant a lot to me as I wasn't robbed off, such a polite and courteous man whom I sadly did not get a chance to speak to him personally. Hospital staff all levels are often not appreciated so please forward this to all the lovely staff on ward 8a thank you all so very much. They say angels walk amongst us they truly do on ward 8a .
