"Treatment at the DVT unit"

About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

I have just returned from the PRUH having yesterday been referred there by my Doctor for suspected DVT. The tests were given and results positive. The specialist told me my legs might be infected and I was asked to go back today to see the Senior Consultant. I duly took time out of work and waited a short while to see the specialist..They paid little attention to my summary of pain..might as well just've said..'You're fat ..go away' ..I was asked to wait for a prescription of antibiotics and painkillers and lose weight..I waited an hour, reaching the point of despair with pain in my legs..Well I knew I was fat before I went in, so that was all a waste of time, and with an anorexic daughter at home, I left in tears without any prescription, and wanting to just drive into a tree on my way home. So thanks for nothing..same pain, no gain, ..could drive to Beachy Head right now...No thought of impact the lack of care might give.
