On Saturday 1st Feb 2014 my wife & daughter took my 1 month old grandson to A&E in the evening on the advice of the 111 NHS helpline. A prescription was issued by the children's emergency department that could only be dispensed by the hospital pharmacy. My family were told the pharmacy opened at 10.00am on Sunday. I checked the website and it showed the opening time as 11.00am on a Sunday. I went to the hospital at 11.00am on Sunday to collect the prescription to be told by the receptionist that the pharmacy is closed on a Sunday. When I expressed my frustration she simply commented "I know, I keep telling my managers". Heaven help us!!
