About: Princess Royal University Hospital (Orpington)

First visit, last week of November, visited A&E with chest pains within a short space of time had blood test, Xray, ECG, the consultant explained before the test the reasons for them and after the test gave me the results in full detail, answering in full any questions I might have. He and every member of the team were extremely kind and thoughtful, the treatment I received was of the highest standard, equal to that of the private sector, despite the fact that they have work under far greater pressure. Second visit to A&E, December 4th, A&E again, with severe nose bleed, immediately taken into Major Screening, nose was packed and sent to a surgical ward for the night, all the staff in both A&E and the ward were again extremely proffesional and again thoughtful and kind. No request to trivial, the ENT team explained the procedure they would undertake to stem the bleeding and returned in the afternoon and explained the equipment they were using and the sensations I would feel. My experience with every member of the team was they worked to a very high standard and went the extra mile with the other three patients in the ward. Not much would be wrong with the NHS if they reach the standard set by the Princess Royal University Hospital in Conjunction with the Kings Trust. Would gratefully appreciate if you could pass on my comments to all members of the team.
