"Emergency admission to Bradford Royal Infirmary"

About: Bradford Royal Infirmary / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I was taken by ambulance to BRI on April 18 suffering from what was diagnosed as severe pneumonia, severe asthma, and sepsis. I was unconscious and at in several instances, it was thought I wouldn't make it.

I stayed at BRI for a week and my care was second to none, The nurses, consultants, and respiratory therapists were all lovely. I stayed the second part of my admission on Ward 1 (was in the resus room and ICU prior) where it was quiet and calming so I could get the rest I needed.

So many thanks to everyone at BRI!

I am grateful that you have taken the time to post your thoughts, despite what sounds to have been a very scary experience. Your comments will be shared with the relevant teams who always appreciate feedback. Thank you.
