"Terrible attitude from auxillary staff & nurse"

About: The Great Western Hospital

I was in hospital recently for a discectomy. Great surgeon and mostly good nurses with some very caring and good auxiliary staff. However the terrible nursing care I was given after leaving surgery and ICU was disgraceful. I was put into the care of a newly qualified nurse who didn't know what she was doing and didn't respond to buzzer calls. I was left to wet my bed on 3 occasions due to no one coming to see me despite several distress calls. The day time auxiliary staff clearly hated their job and showed this through their grumpy and dissatisfied demeanour and grumbling of patients (why do the job if you hate it so much??!!) They really let the rest of their team down and were rude and abrupt to patients. It's a shame as some staff were exceptionally good but the overall experience for me was so bad due to incompetent nurse and rude auxiliary staff who greeted patients in the morning with 'Get up, what do you want for breakfast? Do I have to read it again?' So unpleasant. Will be putting in an official complaint.
