I was referred to Urology by my GP. It took 17 1/2 weeks of waiting for an appointment to be sent to me with 3 days notice! I was unable to attend at such short notice. I managed to change my appointment for an evening (7pm). This suited me as the hospital is about 50 minutes car drive away and I was scheduled to work that day. When I arrived for the appointment, I felt rushed by the staff who obviously wanted to go home. At no time were my full name, date of birth, hospital number, home address or telephone number verified by the nurses or by the doctor. I had a brief consultation and then had to pay £1.80 for about 15 minutes parking. I am unhappy with the Outpatients' Booking process and very concerned that my identity was not verified.
