"14 months since referral, still waiting for..."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

My wife was referred for treatment to Stoke Manderville Hospital, for orthodontics treatment,14 months ago, unfortunately because she uses a CPAP machine they referred her to John Radcliffe hospital, because it would mean staying overnight. After many many phone calls to find out when she was going to receive treatment. She was finally given an appointment on 17 April, unfortunately she had a bad cold and had to cancel,as she would`nt have been operated on with a cold. Now we are waiting again, and I fear we will be waiting forever again,as the consultants secretary does`nt seem to care.

Thank you for your comments regarding your wife's wait for treatment. I am very sorry that her experience with the Orthodontic service did not meet the standard you could expect. We would be very happy to help in any way we can and investigate the issues you have raised. If you would like us to do this, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 01865 221473 or at palsjr@ouh.nhs.uk who will be happy to assist you.
