"Lack of support for carers"

My husband had chronic heart disease and passed away four years ago.

Wythenshawe Hospital and our G.P were great but there was nobody to provide the support that I, as a carer needed.

I needed someone I could call late at night when I was in distress and needed advice on whether to call an ambulance or the G.P and for emotional support. Or, someone to visit me to give me that reassurance that I was doing the right thing.

A service that supports carers through their stress is needed with a telephone number you can call.
