"Long wait for appointment"

I think it would be desirable to inform patients of the likely wait for a first appointment for Dermatology. I waited 9 weeks and 6 days to hear and 13 weeks and 6 days total for the appointment. During that long initial wait I became very worried as my skin complaint changed. However my GP was then able to make a fresh diagnosis and was able to treat it himself . As soon as my appointment letter arrived, I cancelled it. A J Snook
