"The excellent and speedy treatment of husband for renal failure"

About: Ormskirk & District General Hospital / Urology

(as a relative),

My husband had a blood test prior to an appointment with regard to his prostate cancer with the cancer nurse specialist. The next day our GP rang to say the test had shown renal failure and to attend the EAU that same afternoon for admittance. At the unit they were expecting us and he was sent for assessment and by teatime was in bed in a ward.

He was in hospital for a week both in wards 7a and 7b. His treatment both by the consultants, doctors and nurses was excellent. The wards were spotless (well done the cleaning staff) and he is still enthusing about the food.

You read and hear about the NHS and its failures, especially with regard for the elderly. let's hear about the successes.
