My Elderly Mother who is aged 74 and suffers from heart failure and has just under gone a operation on her right leg because it had a clot, she was being look after in ward 10 after the operation, then it went down hill as she has to have her legs changed on a day to day basis, she was moved from ward 10 to ward 3 and the care she getting from that ward is diabolical, she hasn't had her dressing changed for over 8 days and now the leg has got blisters on it and the ward have left it open for infection, we as a family are very disasified with the service we are getting and because they want the bed they want to discharge a elderly women who cart even defend for herself, the dressing on my mothers legs haven't been changed as the ward have sald they are not qualified to change the dressing to the one my mother has to have fitted, we as a family are very distaught over this and are refusing discharge but the hospital want to send her home, I will be looking to take this to the papers if they discharge her while her right foot is in that state which I have pictures of I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone as the care in some wards are awful
