"fantastic care on FHU, Rowan and Labour wards"

About: Kettering General Hospital

Having sampled the care of numerous midwives on FHU and Rowan ward for daycare and longer stays from March to babies arrival on 18th April 2014 could not fault any of it. all the staff I came into contact with from drs to the ladies serving dinners were approachable and although very busy at times had time to answer any questions or queries. whilst down on the labour ward again the staff brilliant though my veins did test the aneasthetist, when baby started getting distressed senior midwife and dr called in and thanks to the swift actions an an emergency c section baby arrived safely. My only critisism is the worn/aged look of the rooms but from what I understand work is due on them imminently. Thank you to all the staff for your assistance and care

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments, all feedback is so important to us as it helps us see what we do well and what we can strive to improve. We recognise that the fabric of the building is a little worn and there are plans in place to improve the ward environments over the coming months. It is clear from your feedback that although the environment does require some investment, that the care the team provide continues at the high standard we would like all women to experience. I will ensure your posting reaches the whole team as it is always a pleasure to hear such positive comments. Nicki Perry Delivery Suite Matron
