What I liked
The nursing staff and auxiliary staff were fantastic. They were friendly, supportive and extremely hard working. Every aspect of my stay was explained to me and if I had questions someone always found the time to talk things through with me. The nursing and auxiliary staff were an absolute credit to the hospital.
What could be improved
The hand washing facilities at the entrance to the wards was very good. However, there were many times when people, both visitors and staff, didn't wash their hands. At one point I was queuing to wash my hands and at least 6 people walked past without washing theres. This included two doctors which I found very disappointing.
On my discharge I was told I needed to where surgical stocking for 6 weeks. However, I was only given one pair of them. It might be an idea to offer a second pair even if a charge is made for this.
Anything else?
I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the hospital.
