After 10 years living in France where I would phone for an appointment and would be offered either an immediate appointment or one the very next day, I am now returned to the NHS where standards are woefully not what they used to be!
I recently phoned our health centre in Newtown for an appointment for both my wife and I and was aghast to be told that the first appointment available is 27 days hence. This is a total joke and way worse than being experienced by friends and family in other parts of the country.
"GP waiting time, totally unacceptable!"
