(as the patient),

I have recently been on Austin ward in Hollins Park and was very impressed with the magazine they publish.

It is printed & published in house by one of the nurses. Every service user receives a copy it has information about the ward also health and welling issues, quiz and other articles that men will find interesting. I think they are to be congratulated on the standard of publication. They also accept people's ideas and encourage involvement if people feel up to it.

Thank you for these very kind comments, I will pass them onto the ward.

I know the staff on Austin Ward are very proud of the magazine and put a lot of effort into ensuring that it has a good balance of information and entertainment.

Personally, I like the fact that not all the articles are written by members of staff and that service users on the ward write about issues of interest to them.
