"Appointment cancellation and wrong diagnosis"

About: Pilgrim Hospital

I came into the out of hours service because my baby was unwell, here they told me that my baby had colic I ended up getting a second opinion from a hospital nearby to be told it was not colic but reflux. The doctor we were told to come and see did not seem very interested at all in being there. On a separate occasion we had an appointment for my baby's tongue tie, we turned up to the hospital on the date and time specified to be told that our appointment had been cancelled, no written letter or phone call was made by this hospital to inform us of this.

Dear Anon

IUnfortunately we are unable to comment about your experience within the GP Out of Hours Service as this is managed by Lincolnshire Community Healthcare Services Trust. If you need to speak to them then please contact their Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0845 602 4384.

Regarding the appointment for your baby in the tongue tie clinic, if you would like to contact me, I will investigate the reason why it was canclled and why you were not notified. My contact details are Sharon.kidd@ulh.nhs.uk or 01476 464560.
