"Rushed out after surgery"

About: West Cornwall Hospital (Penzance)

This was the second time that I have visited the hospital for day surgery and the first time I couldn't fault the place but this time I wasn't so happy with the treatment I received. I arrived at the surgical ward at 1pm and I was already in theatre by 2pm so no waiting around. I woke up in recovery at 3pm and had to stay there a little longer because I kept drifting in and out of consciousness. When I was back on the ward I had quite a bad reaction to the general anaesthetic. I kept drifting in and out of unconsciousness and I kept throwing up. The doctor came to talk to me about my operation but because I couldn't stay awake I am not really sure what he said. One nurse tried making me eat bu I kept throwing it back up. She said that because I couldn't stay awake the best thing to do would be to get some sleep. However, a couple minutes later a different nurse came in and said I had to get up and dressed because it was already 4.15pm and I had to go home. I was only in recovery an hour earlier and I was still throwing up and struggling to stay awake. She said that she had already tried phoning my partner but couldn't get hold of him so I had to phone him. She then kept coming back every 2 minutes to see if I had got hold of my partner and if he was on his way. I was still throwing up and still feeling really faint and really felt like they were trying to get rid of me. I feel like I was sent home too early because I was still feeling really bad when I left and I felt like I was being pushed out. I guess that they must finish work at 5 and everyone has to be out by then. If that is the case then wouldn't it have been better if they got me to go down there in the morning rather than at 1pm
