Thanks to the cardiac catheter lab team for the care given to my husband David during his procedure.

My husband was a transfer and treat patient, I was very disapointed with the communication system.

I have been a nurse for 38yrs and was shocked at the way I was spoken to by a nurse. Having asked for information on the procedure he had been given,she was rude and uncaring. Needless to say my family who were present at the time were also upset. On discharge incorrect information was given, I had to contact the cardiac nurse at our own unit for advice.The Ward were unaware my husband was a transfer and treat patient and also it appears they did not know he had unfortunately suffered a heart attack two weeks prior to his admission to Blackpool.I feel sure if this had been made known by reading his notes, then the correct discharge information would have been given. Also regarding the said nurse perhaps an interpersonal skills course would be beneficial.
