What could be improved
My husband who has hemophilla type A was admitted on to the ward C2 on New years eve. On new years day i asked a nurse if my husband had been given Factor Eight and was told no, so i informed the nurse that he would need some in the next twelve hours, and she told me this would be ok. On my way of the ward the nurse asked me if I could bring my husbands medication in from home as if i did not it would require the ON CALL pharmacist to be called! I thought this was disgusting but did bring my husbands medication from home.
Anything else?
Surely a pharmacist should be on sight all the time!
