When I was admitted to ACU-A the nurses, HCA's and doctors were very accommodating and polite. I was looked after and given the care and treatment that I needed as I was very unwell. I was not judged or treated any different because of my condition. The compassion the staff have on that ward is unbelievable compare to some of the other wards in GRH. I have respect for the job they do and not only have I had good experience from being admitted myself but several times when my mum and dad have been admitted there I always feel they are being looked after. I also recieved the after care services I needed to ensure I completed my treatment. The one thing that I found very touching was at night if my bed area looked a mess whilst I was sleeping that someone would be around and make me comfortable. Some may find that weird but it was very kind of staff to do that. I hope the staff there know the job they do in invaluable to anyone patient needing treatment.
