I have been on the waiting list to have, what was 1 large lump removed from my face, since beginning of September 2006. I now have 3 large lumps on my face and an appointment date for a initial consultation (I already had an appointment in Septmeber 2006, but as another lump has appeared I have to have this appointment again). My consultation appointment keeps changing and I now have a appointment for the end of June 2009 - it will be nearly 3 years since my original consultation. The PCT and NHS have published a number of deadlines and treatment times that they are aiming to adhered to ............ 3 years waiting period is unacceptable and an extreme breach of patient care. Like many patients I have spent days calling the numbers they have listed, with no luck. I am at a loss as to what to do next? To recieve the complaints procedure, the website states that I should contact the hospital direct for this information ........ and so the spiral of engaged tones and no answer continues ......
