"I arrived to the Northampton Hospital ..."

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute)

(as a relative),

What I liked

I arrived to the Northampton Hospital to very sad news that my mum had passed away 30 minutes before I reached the hospital, as I learn't it was fatal death but no pain and very quick.Even though I am deeply upset and still coming to terms with the loss of my dear mum, that night was a very comforting night. My sister was with my mum at the hospital when my mum passed away but the nurses that were with my sister were so supportive and caring through and through they made a very trumatic situation very comforting.I arrived and spoke to some nurses who must have known what had happened to my mum as they led me to the family room where my sister was sitting but at no point did I see in their faces their was a problem, they were very proffesional. They were checking us to see if we needed anything, they prepared mum so we could say our goodbyes in the chapel.A very sad time but in some way made comforting which helped myself and my sister to get through that night in a strange way.Thank you to the two nurses on A & E 19th November 2008 night shift team.
