About: Heartlands Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The way staff kept me informed. I was seen by several doctors and they all informed me of what they were doing and why. I was seen quickly and treated with respect. The ward was in temporary housing while the original ward was being refurbished, but staff coped well with this.

What could be improved

One outpatient doctor didn't know how to write a prescription but the pharmacists on site (Boots - what a good idea) managed to ring up and sort it out. I think he was inexperienced.

Thank you for your comments and we apologise for any delay caused to your prescription. The Boots Pharmacy on site is proving extremely popular with patients and, although not common place in other hospitals, we hope services like this will be adopted by other Trusts around the country as well.
