I had surgery to fix a small inguinal hernia at the Horton in Banbury in late April 2014. In the run up to the operation I met several different members of staff at the Horton, and from consultant to receptionist they were without exception helpful, polite, professional and friendly. I also found that, unlike other hospitals I've been to, the appointment time I was given was the time I was seen.
On the day itself the surgical team and the anaesthetists were excellent, and the nursing staff - Lisa in particular, who kept me well provided with tea and shorties afterwards - were completely brilliant. A fantastic service at every point, with the people I dealt with really standing out.
If you have to have the surgery, these are the people to do it for you.
