"nothing really"

About: Homerton University Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

nothing really

What could be improved

efficiency. forget about early cancer diagnosis at homerton.

diagnosing cancer in patients is very slow. it took the doctors 3 weeks to do a biopsy either due to no doctors available or someone forgeting that it should be done. we had to practically screem before they could do it. what is the chance of early treatment by the time the cancer has gone round the body.

equipments. they have no scanning equipments for bones, imaging having to transfer a very sick and frail patients across town just for bone scanning and then transfering him back. what stress.

Anything else?

hospitality and communication. their is never a good line of communication between nurses, doctors and patients. while i accept that they are busy. sometimes they sit behind the counters chatting and seem unapprochable. the nurses seem to know nothing when you ask them and you see the doctors may be once or twice a day.

I had a very bad experience at homerton while trying to look after my dad.

he was so let down by the nhs and to think he paid tax for 35 yrs.
