"Children's A&E and Children's Ward"

About: Royal Free Hospital

We brought one year old daughter into A&E at 1am on a Saturday morning with a very high temperature. We were seen straight away and though we had to wait to see the consultant paediatrician we were seen by a team of doctors who checked her thoroughly, conducted tests and were nothing but helpful and friendly throughout. They were careful to check for a number of possible causes ordering tests and then taking us up to the children's ward where she stayed to be monitored. She was found to have a viral infection that is quite common in children. They were happy for one of us to stay overnight with her and we were regularly visited by the staff to check on her and update us on her tests. As worried and anxious parents, I cannot fault any of the staff and professionals we came into contact with, who regularly reassured and relaxed us while our daughter was in their care for 48 hours.

Many thanks for your kind comment. We are glad you were pleased with the care your daughter received, I shall make sure this is passed on to the staff.
