I had a total hip replacement following a fall where I fractured my hip- all totally shocking and obviously unplanned. I was discharged home with no advice about how to dress or undress, no advice about changing furniture and no aids to help around the house. Thank goodness for family members who came to my rescue, otherwise 3 days post discharge I would still be in bed unable to feed or wash myself.......
