"Taking care of our Elderly Patients"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

The cleanliness in the hospital is poor, the quality of care is also very poor due to the lack of staff. There is no consideration when a person is elderly that they cannot reach there food that is slapped in front of them by someone who can hardly speak English, they don't care if the food is left to stand and get cold disgraceful my mother lost a stone in one week. She was washed every day but no one thought about her cleaning her teeth I did this when I went in. Then the doctor who was dealing with her thought there was no reason for her to be in hospital she could go home she was immobile and not been out of bed and walked for two weeks. Then social services ring the Royal to ask where she is they said she had gone home when actually she was sent her to rehab, What has happened to our caring doctors and nurses????. And to top all of this they left her in the discharge lunge for hours an 86 year old woman disgraceful.
