I recently underwent a planned breast augmentation to replace both implants due to acute capsulation. The following day I unfortunately had to undergo further operation due to a haematoma that had collected behind my left breast. Thankfully, due to the diligence of the staff nurse on shift that day, she was able to recognise this and summon my consultant in a matter of minutes. The calm manner in which the nurses dealt with me meant that I didn't panic nor worry unduly, and the speed in which the surgery was organised and scheduled later that afternoon, only reinforced my view that the hospital is both run extremely efficiently and effectively. Durning my stay I can honestly say that all the consultants, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and student placements were extremely attentive to all my needs. The care I received surpassed my expectations, especially as a previous stay at the Royal United Hospital in Bath was the complete opposite of everything that Salisbury hospital stands for, and as such I would like to extend my appreciation to all whom were involved with my care.
"Excellent care once again."
