After an assessment, which involved talking about experiences that are difficult for me to talk about, I was told that I would benefit from psychotherapy, which I would have to pay for myself. I knew this already. It was a waste of time telling the therapist about my experiences, only to be told that I will not be able to access the support I need through the NHS.
