I've recently stayed in the hospital for 12 nights & this was the first time I've ever stayed & had treatment for my anxiety and depression. I am very disappointed in the level of care & respect to myself and other patients. Myself being more aware of what was going on around me with how staff treat the other patients was shocking & upsetting , also witness by my family & friends. There is no support from staff & to be honest they seem to just come for the pay from work & not do there jobs in the correct manner. If you are working with people with all different mental health issues , then surely they should be able to deal with the most simple of things like common sense and compassion. On a positive note there was a handful of staff that worked well & tryed there best. I do believe changes need to be made asap for the welfare of the patients before more damage is done to them mentally.
