"knee replacement consultation"

About: Leicester General Hospital

I attended Leicester General hospital on Monday 24th March . I arrived early for my appointment and witnessed the communication of appointment time delays to the waiting room - these updates were communicated regularly and efficiently to the waiting patients. When my appointment time came i was taken along the corridor to wait outside the consultancy room. A nurse kept me company whilst I waited and made me feel very comfortable. When the consultant arrived he reviewed my previous x rays quickly and performed appropriate tests quickly . He informed me in detail of the next step in my treatment- two total knee replacements- and the nurse supported him in this - they seemed to work very well together. A letter to a consultant was dictated in front of me , again I felt this helped to keep me fully informed . I was very impressed with the treatment and information I received and felt i had a high standard of support ad care. Thank you.
