"Nothing to complain about"

About: Furness General Hospital

I recently attended FGH after being referred by my Doctors. At first I was sent to the eye hospital to have various tests. The staff, receptionists, nurses and doctors were all very friendly and explained everything to me. After noticing problems I was sent to the medical admission unit to have further tests, this was somewhat unexpected and I have not spent a lot of time in hospital so also very daunting. However the two nurses on this unit were fabulous they were friendly and comforting. After being sent away I was called back into hospital on christmas eve to have a lumber puncture, CT Scan and MRI scan. Again I was placed on a ward but given my own room, and as I am only 17 my mum was allowed to stay with me. I had no idea what any of the tests i was having done were but all the nurses and doctors were friendly and explained things in as much detail as they could to both me and my mum, answering any questions we had. They did everything they could to ensure that I could get home for christmas and didn't have to stay over night. The specialist who came to see me were also very friendly and made me feel completely comfortable. My treatment at FGH is on going and I regularly have to attend the eye Clinic at FGH for check ups and tests. But I cannot fault the care I received there.
