I attended the walk in clinic thinking I had pulled a calf muscle. The nurse practitioner diagnosed a deep vein thrombosis. I had flown back from Egypt the day before, the nurse was excellent. Two weeks later my father was diagnosed with a dvt at Manchester royal. Despite visiting his GP regularly for the last 9 months complaining of swelling in his calf. The difference in treatment by gps and the brilliant service by the staff at hospitals is really evident. The doctors and nurses at trafford general who are now treating my dvt are also excellent.
"Excellent diagnosis by nurse practitioner"
