I have been a psoriasis sufferer for many years and a few years ago had the luck for the doctor to take my case and had UVB light therapy and great follow up leaving me free of this blight for nearly 3 years. Last year in February I had another UVB treatment which was then followed up with another visit to my new consultant as the original doctor has now retired. Well with a new person it was an immediate back step to square one, with I will prescribe you some creams (which in my notes say clearly do not work, thanks for the choice) and I will see you in 6 months. He seemed to be running very late and was more interested in just writing a prescription and getting me out of the door, so he could see the next number(patient!). Well it's now 7 months on and yes I'm still waiting for my next follow up what a surprise. it's a shame because the consultants support and nursing team are so good, kind and hard working only to be let down by the man at the top..... I suppose I will have to go through the whole telephone waiting malarkey to arrange another 5 minute session, rather than holding my breath waiting for them to contact me!
