"out patients blood tests junstion 5 (i think)"

I needed to go for a bloods to be taken and went 1st april 2014 8.30 in the morning when they opened. When I arrived there were already 20 something people ahead of me, this would'nt be a problem except the nurses in sections 1 & 2 had to chat about every single thing in their personal lives! if they just got on and did the work they should of been doing the queue would of moved much quicker, many of us were getting really angry at the slow way they went about there jobs and the constant chatting between themselves. Very unprofessional.

Response from Woodlands

Thank you for your recent comment posted on the 1st April. I am very sorry you have had cause to write in regarding the Phlebotomy service at Queen Mary's Hospital. It is only when patients draw our attention to matters and report such incidents, that we are able to correct them, helping us to achieve the high standards that we aim for. The Supervisor has been made aware of this issue and has assured me that she will speak to the staff involved. This is unacceptable behaviour and I would like to apologise for the delay it caused. The opening time for the department is 08:00. Kind regards The Communications Team Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
