"Disgusting cleanliness"

About: Watford General Hospital

I visited the blood clinic and next to it is a League of Friends Tea Bar. A lady dropped her cup of tea and one of the volunteers came round to the front of the bar and cleaned the floor. The cloth was black with dirt - she then proceeded to use the same cloth to wipe over the counter and tea bar. She then got another cloth to wipe up the rest of the tea and did exactly the same thing, wiping the tea bar and counter. She then returned to the counter and immediately started serving food without washing her hands at all. Whilst I appreciate that this is not run by the hospital, it is still within the hospital and surely under the remit of what is expected there. Every person sitting in this busy blood clinic witnessed this and the haughty huff she gave me when I pointed out these failings. I will never purchase from this place again and strongly recommend that no one else does either - unless they want to be an inpatient and not just a visiting outpatient. I sincerely hope that the Executive Team take these comments on board and action this disgraceful act. I am sure the Health and Safety Executive would be interested to hear of this experience!
